The Cattaraugus Allegany Workforce Investment Board's 2009 Local Strategic Plan Modification has been finalized and is available on this website and can be accessed here. This modification amends the 2005 – 2008 Local Strategic Plan previously published December 31, 2005 and extends it to June 30, 2010. The original plan and its previous amendments are available on this website in the “WIB” Section under “Board Information > Section II Governance.” This plan was available for public review and comment from August 10 through September 9, 2009. The following public comment was the only one received.
I have one question regarding the local plan. On page 23 (2b.) you reference serving 40 youth with work experience activities for 80k between 10/09 and 3/10. Who or what entity is getting the funding for this and providing the services for these youth?
The Executive Committee of the WIB, authorized by the full Board to address comments has issued the following in response.
This comment is deemed to refer to an internal budgeting process, that may or may not affect youth programming. The committee will request addtional budget and program information to make an informed decision and amend the local plan as necessary in the next few months.
